TranSiT: Doing What Ford Never Did
We’re stoked to have TranSiT featured in S3 Magazine!
What started as a crazy idea to build the ultimate Focus ST-powered family van turned into a full-on engineering project. TranSiT is a 2016 Ford Transit Connect transformed with the complete drivetrain, electronics, interior, suspension, brakes, and other components from a Focus ST3 — essentially creating the factory ST van Ford never built.
The goal was never just to make it fast. It was to build something that could haul the family, carry bikes and camping gear, hit the mountains, and still put a smile on my face every time the turbo spools.
After countless nights of wiring, fabrication, troubleshooting, parts hunting, and figuring out how to make two vehicles that were never designed to work together become one, seeing TranSiT featured by S3 Magazine is seriously rewarding.
Huge thanks to S3 Magazine for telling the story and giving this ridiculous little adventure van a spotlight.
This project is far from finished. The next chapter includes more adventures, more upgrades, and plenty more miles.
